State of the art machine learning-based solutions

Features Analytics is specialized in Streamlined Machine Learning® for payment fraud prevention and detection and event risk scoring. Together with our partner, we bring to the Romanian market eyeDES®, a product that operates on-premise or cloud, and the scoring/surveillance can be done in real-time or in batch.

eyeDES® represents a breakthrough artificial intelligence technology, platform, and solutions that quickly and easily bring the critical facts and the right answers. The technology leverages two different modules that can be used separately or together. The Machine Learning component comprises both supervised and unsupervised learning, and the Anomaly Detection Engine can identify the outliers in the data. This way, eyeDES® is reducing false positives, minimizing the risk of penalties and instantly evolving with the market dynamics.

AXON Soft, the official partner of Features Analytics in Romania, will implement and support eyeDES®, and develop integration modules for best results. This way, we guarantee that these solutions are tailored to client needs and that incoming transactions are treated with a high degree of accuracy.

Blockchain comes to the table with a significant promise: improve trust in all industries where information is transferred. This is one of the base layers which pose to be part of the revolution of Industry 4.0. And it`s far from a modest goal when one of the hardest things to gain is trusting itself. After 10 years from the inception of this technology, it seems to be the moment to tackle the new opportunities which may arise.

The central banks get involved

Financial institutions are the ones who are looking very closely to reap the benefits before to get disrupted from the outside. In a global blockchain survey taken by Deloitte in 2019, 77% of the respondents believe that they will lose competitive advantage if they don’t adopt blockchain technology and about 86% think that will eventually achieve mainstream adoption.

The Libra project initiated by Facebook was like a wakeup call for the regulators around the world, especially for Central Banks when it comes to digital assets and financial services. Bank of International Settlements, which is like the central bank of the central banks, speaks actively about the possibility of implementing a central bank digital currency (CBDC) and about the infrastructure which should be used. Moreover, we already witness the first pilot projects of using blockchain technology and you can read more about it here.

 

Even if CBDCs have become the keyword in every conference around the world alongside stablecoins, Benoît Cœuré (head of the new BIS Innovation Hub) said in an interview at Davos 2020 that “it’s about having a technology that cuts the costs and improves the speed of cross border payments…the top priority for the global community it’s not about CBDC, it’s to improve the cross border payments because it’s a matter of financial inclusion and growth for the global economy.” If this type of financial instrument will be adopted and if it will be available to the retail market will remain to be seen but it’s certainly a topic worth to be considered.

Supply chains on the verge of transformation  

Beyond the possibility of transferring value with greater ease due to the digitalization of the currency, supply chains may enter a new stage of efficiency.

As we said above, blockchain is about bringing trust by validating each piece of information that travels from one counterparty to another. By having a system that can provide in an instant the data transparently and efficiently without an external oracle, the use cases can become limitless. From food supply to container logistics, from fraud prevention to the IOT industry and ultimately to smart cities.

DLT or blockchain is not the solution for all of the problems out there, and surely not an easy tool to implement. But seeing the evolution of this industry and how fast is growing, it gives confidence to all of the participants that great things can be done with the right focus over what’s real and what is hype, and with collaboration among blockchain consortiums.

For the second year in a row, we`ve decided to enhance our winter with an authentic Christmas experience and helped Santa bring gifts to our kindergarten friends from Ticu village. It was our fourth visit to these children and, if possible, we were even more excited and more passionate about our actions.

At AXON Soft we`ve created an environment where people can think big, have fun, and excel. This is why we take things very seriously, especially when children share their hopes and dreams with us. Just like in business, in our social project, we like to live up to our reputation of excellence, because these children were counting on us to fulfill their wishes.

Together with their teacher, 15 little children from Ticu kindergarten wrote letters to Santa, and we felt grateful for having the chance to be Christmas elves. Each of our colleagues had the ambition to find every little item from their letters, and some of us were lucky enough to take part in their celebration and deliver the amazing gifts prepared.

Children bring happiness to our lives

We were lucky enough to be raised in families that offered unconditionally love and support, but the reality from the rural area is not just milk and honey. The lack of jobs and money from Ticu village makes it impossible for parents to encourage their children and to buy them gifts for Christmas. That`s why we wanted to continue our tradition, to make sure that Santa will visit them, and make Christmas special for them.

We were overjoyed that we had the chance to fulfill these wonderful children’s wishes and to empower them to pursue their dreams.

Every kid from Ticu kindergarten received a pair of winter boots from the AXON Soft team. But the reality is that tens of thousands of children go to school, every year, with improper shoes. Codecamp has become one of the biggest IT events in Romania, and it`s the place where IT professionals share ideas and grow. Last Saturday, the community of IT professionals had the chance to pick between 59 talks regarding Java, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, Ruby, Mobile, Cloud, Agile development, Software Architecture, Business Analysis, Management, Product Development or entrepreneurship.

At AXON Soft, we`ve made a tradition in partnering up with Codecamp and be part of one of the biggest IT events which bring together people sharing the same passion for technology. This is the reason why Huxi Li, head of engineering at Holy-Dis, one of our strategic partners from France, held a presentation on  Containerization as an Enterprise Architecture Strategy.

It was a great chance for developers to get more info on a hot topic, and exploring the container technology, cloud strategy, innovation agility, repeatable delivery and not only.  Keeping in mind the number of participants and the questions that followed the session, we can say that even though we started talking about Containerization a few years ago, the subject remains an interesting hot topic for most professionals.

Our First Step Internship Program is, as usually, dedicated to empowering the young talents to develop their skills alongside our great professionals. In the last couple of days, we had the chance to meet hundreds of passionate students, eager to take a step forward in their careers. We got to talk with wonderful people at TdC in IT and at FSEGA, at Cariere in IT.

Every spring brings us the amazing opportunity to meet with our future colleagues during the career fairs organized. Every time we expect to see what young people are dreaming and what expectations they have, and each year we are impressed with their way of thinking. We were glad to see that students are asking more and more questions about our projects, our way of doing business and about our culture. For us, it`s important to see that they want to know how we work and interact with each other, and not just to complete their mandatory summer practice.

JAVA EE Technologies Internship

Since 2008 we have been partners for universities and developed summer internship programs for students that want to complete their theoretical knowledge with practical skills. This year, our First Step Internship Program is designed to offer the opportunity to experience the real workflow of a project team and create an application designed for this purpose.

Our intern team will consist of 10 dedicated and curious students, who want professional and pleasant work experience in software development. They will get to work with Java EE Technologies, Web Technologies, Design and architectural patterns, and Continuous integration.

We congratulate all the students that showed interest in learning more about our work through ambition and passion. If you didn’t get a chance to come at TdC in IT or Zilele Carierei in IT, don’t worry.
